Beginning with one church in 1934 pastored by a visionary leader who would send hundreds of men and women into the ministry, Grace International is now in more than forty nations.
Schools, orphanages, feeding centers, Bible colleges, training centers, a world class seminary and more than 1700 churches with thousands of ministers now make up Grace International. Grace's international headquarters is located in Houston, Texas on the campus of Grace Community Church, a multi-site mega church.
With seventy years of raising up and supporting ministry leaders and churches, Grace is under the direction of our fourth president, Steve Riggle. Steve is a visionary and motivator. He is the founding pastor of Grace, which in 2006 completed one of the largest worship centers in the country with a capacity of 10,000. Grace numbers more than 10,000 active people with over 100 ministries on two 80+acre campuses. He also serves on a variety of ministry boards including the King’s Seminary founded by Dr. Jack Hayford.
With a heart for pastors, church leaders, and thriving local churches, Grace believes that the “kingdoms of this world should become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ” in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Raising up and sending Spirit-filled and Spirit-formed men and women was the vision that birthed Grace International. Over seventy years later, it is still our driving passion.
SOUTH AFRICA
After the death of their only son in a car crash in Texas, South Africa born Theunis Bronkhorst and his wife Marie joined the organization in the USA in 1966. Shortly thereafter, they left the USA as missionaries to Zambia. After a few years of service there, they left and moved back to their home country, arriving in Durban.
In 1971 they began a church in Chatsworth which would eventually set standards for all churches which came into existence at that time and after that. A visionary, pioneer and trendsetter, Dr Bronkhorst and his wife sent countless men and women into the ministry, pioneered numerous churches, erected church buildings and set the organization into a course that could never be turned back.
Today, Grace International (South Africa) has churches in Kwa Zulu Natal, Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape. It has over 140 ministers in its fold. Its headquarters is situated in Durban and is led by the current president, Stanley Moodley. Stanley is a charismatic leader, well known television preacher, pasturing a multi racial church in Malvern, Durban. He is highly respected both locally and internationally.
